Marriott opens first hotel in Siberia

 Marriott International has opened its first hotel in Siberia, the Courtyard by Marriott Irkutsk City Center.

The property, which has 208 rooms, boasts the “Grand Courtyard Ballroom”, considered as one of the largest event venues in Irkutsk, and can host events and celebrations for up to 300 persons. For meetings and events, the Courtyard Irkutsk offers five meetings rooms with over 4,250 square feet of meeting space.

Dining facilities include the Mesto Vstrechi restaurant, which offers a range of European and Siberian inspired dishes; the Malachite, which offers private dining for up to 28 people; and Cedar Bar, which offers all-day drinks and snacks.

With more than 910 locations in 30 countries, Courtyard is Marriott’s largest brand. Two hundred additional Courtyard by Marriott hotels will open around the world over the next three years.
