New York-based architecture and design firm Khouri Guzman Bunce Lininger (KGBL) has launched the Terranova. Offered as a coffee table and side table, Terranova is hewn from a single block of statuary marble and set atop a solid four-prong silicone bronze base. Terranova features deep V-shaped cuts that highlight the beauty and grandeur of the marble, while also revealing its own construction. These fissures give Terranova a sense of lightness that contrasts with the marble’s mass. The Terranova tables measure 48” W x 24” D x 13” H; and 24” W x 16” D x 20” H. Custom sizes and other metal finishes are also available.
KGBL designs and produces handcrafted American furniture. The KGBL furniture line is built in Brooklyn and has a modern style while using materials and methods associated with older levels of craftsmanship. Also a full-service architecture and design firm, KGBL maintains a showroom in New York’s High Line district.
