The Mere Golf Resort & Spa announced that its George Duncan Suite and its two boardrooms were refurbished, marking the final stage of the resort’s $22-million redevelopment. With the development, The Mere is now able to provide more options for customers looking for smaller scale events within a luxurious environment.
The George Duncan suite holds up to 200 guests in theater style, and is popular for a host of events, from small weddings, corporate banquets and theater style meetings. The suite has its own bar, lounge and connecting syndicate room, allowing up to 120 guests to make use of a secluded area. The boardrooms are used regularly for private meetings.
Meanwhile, the newly designed conferencing suites were designed and refurbished by Mather & Co, based in Wilmslow, also responsible for the rest of the resort’s redevelopment.
The Mere Golf Resort & Spa is an independent luxury resort co-owned by Mark Boler and Gary Corbett. The resort offers 81 bedrooms and two new restaurants, including Browns at The Mere and the Club Lounge and Bar, alongside its existing championship golf course, refurbished conference and event facilities for up to 550 people, and a health club and spa. Situated in the heart of Cheshire, the resort is close to Manchester, Liverpool and Chester.
