Modern classic: Discocó lamp by Marset

Marset has relaunched the Discocó lamp by Christophe Mathieu.  First introduced in 2008, the lamp is now available in two new matte colors and one new size.  Now available in matte grey, beige and a new 68cm diameter, the Discocó is described as a versatile modern classic.  It provides direct downward illumination along with a dramatic play of lights and soft shadows. Light bounces off of both sides of the 35 disks that make up Discocó’s layered design, creating a gradation of light nuances and depth. Further reflections dance off the chrome-covered sphere located the lamp’s core, where the disks are anchored. The new tones and new diameter brings Discocó total available finishes to six and available sizes to five.

Marset is a Barcelona-based founded in the 1940s.
