Brand designer Robert Bergman, president of Bergman Associates, has launched a new venture, Mpakt, to cater to brand owners who wish to "tap into modern design sensibilities", a statement from the company stated.
The company name merges the words “modern" with "packaging” to create a word pronounced “em-packed” or, more tellingly "impact."
According to Bergman, “Mpakt is the answer to changes in the marketplace. Products that look new, work better and break ground are succeeding, (and) every successful brand that we’ve designed has been modern.”
Mpakt, an offshoot of Bergman Associates, will share offices in Manhattan’s Chelsea art gallery district. Bergman will oversee Mpakt operations with longtime collaborators Mads Frederiksen (Mpakt account director), Phillip Shook (Mpakt structural designer), and Leandro Miller (Mpakt account manager).
