The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club in Southwest Florida has announced that it is on target to complete its latest phase of renovations and enhancements by the end of 2012.
The $5 million phase includes the opening of a new Gulf-view ballroom that will feature panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico, and which will be Naples’ only beachfront ballroom. This phase also includes the complete renovation of the 12 remaining guest rooms in the resort’s Florida Wing, and the complete renovation of the resort’s Gulf-side meeting rooms and pre-function space.
When the guest room renovation is complete, all of the resort’s 317 guest rooms and suites will have been renovated and remodeled over the last three years. The 125-acre resort, which features 34,000 square feet of meeting space, plus many outdoor venues, is Southwest Florida’s only resort directly on the beach with an on-site championship golf course, a spa, and a tennis center.
This $5 million latest phase of improvements follows $40 million spent by the resort over the last five years. That multi-phase project included the renovation and remodeling of the other guest rooms and suites, enhancements to the golf course, the renovation and expansion of The Sunset Beach Bar & Grill, and the addition of a beachfront pool complex (with two new pools, two new whirlpools, a new pool bar with food service, new restrooms, new locker facilities, and a new pool shop).
In this latest phase, the resort will open The Everglades Room, a new beachfront ballroom that will feature a wall of windows that will provide panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico. The 5,000-square-foot ballroom will be dedicated for corporate events, banquets, weddings, and social events. Located where the resort’s Everglades Dining Room (which served breakfast) was situated, the Everglades Room will feature vaulted ceilings covered with draped fabric.
At the end of 2012, the resort also will debut two completely renovated Gulf-side meeting rooms. One of the rooms will be 1,097 square feet, and the other will be 1,159 square feet. The renovation of the adjacent pre-function space also will be complete at that time too.
The resort offers a variety of venues for meetings and receptions. The resort features 34,000 square feet of meeting space, most with a view overlooking the championship golf course. Venue options include the 6,283-square-foot River of Grass Ballroom, the 2,457-square-foot Mangrove Ballroom, and such scenic outdoor venues as the Watkins Lawn and the Ocean Lawn.
The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club has resided on the Southwest coast in Naples, Florida since 1946. Owned and operated by the Watkins family for three generations, this 317-room resort is home to the city of Naples’ only beachfront restaurant, HB’s on the Gulf. The resort is further complemented by 1,000 feet of white-sand beach, an array of dining options (including The Seminole Store that serves deli sandwiches, ice cream, and wonderful desserts), multiple bars (including the Sunset Beach Bar & Grill), retail shops, beach rentals, and a complimentary kids club.
