Natural elements: Sea Glass collection by New Ravenna Mosaics

Introducing Sea Glass, a new collection of handcrafted mosaic created by Sara Baldwin for New Ravenna. Sea Glass is inspired by walks along the Eastern Shore of Virginia, where Baldwin found pieces of glass smoothed by years of waves and sand. The eight patterns depict natural elements, as well as ornamental motifs. Aurelia, Chinoiserie, Folia, and Plum Blossom are florals, each with its own style and scale. Chinoiserie has an oriental flavor. Folia has sinuous lines. Meanwhile, Dune, Clouds, and Tempest use small rectangular pieces to simulate their namesakes. All Sea Glass mosaic is custom created to size each installation. The designs come in over 70 glass colors.

New Ravenna Mosaics works with architects and interior designers to create custom mosaic tiles. The company’s stone and glass tiles are hand-crafted, and incorporated into decorative boarders, murals, field tile and medallions. It is based in Exmore Virginia.
