As a part of the recent renovations at The New Yorker Hotel, new sprinklers and a state-of-the-art life-safety system were installed as well as an infrared smoke detection system that is monitored by the hotel's Fire Safety Directors. The hotel's renovation project also featured the installation of a four-pipe heating and cooling system, and makeover of all accommodations and public spaces. Having been certified by FEMA to receive government travelers, The New Yorker Hotel has promoted Persida Mitic to the position of Government Sales Manager where she will coordinate and maintain the relationships with Federal, State and local government agencies.
