Newport Beachside Hotel completes renovation

Sunny Isles Beach, Fla. -- (March 23, 2009) – Historically known for its family-friendly lodging, quality service and pristine oceanfront settings, the Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort in Sunny Isles Beach, FL announces the expansion of the hotel’s administration team as well as the completion of a two-year renovation of the resorts public areas.  
 
The 311-room historic hotel has anchored Collins Avenue for more than 30 years, where it built a solid reputation for affordable fun, food and beachfront lodging. Paying homage to the hotel’s loyal followers while welcoming a new generation of budget-minded travelers, the hotel has recently completed an interior and exterior renovation of the resort’s public areas that still honors the hotel’s historic roots. Recent enhancements include 14,000-square-feet of renovated event space, the two million dollar transformation of the historic Newport Pub into Kitchen 305 and a contemporary pool deck.

The Newport has also appointed two new hires, Chauncey M. Copeland as General Manager and Michael Sawchuk as Director of Quality Assurance, who both bring luxury hospitality experience to the family-friendly resort. Offering more than 20 years of industry experience, Copeland will oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel as well as ensure that the policies that have garnered the hotel’s repeat clientele are satisfied with a smile. Sawchuk’s experience with the St. Regis, Westin, Sheraton and Starwood hotels will complement these efforts, instituting fail-proof customer service via quality control and personal concierge services.

In addition, the Newport is currently in the process of renovating rooms with two floors, of the 12 floor hotel, completely renovated with brand new furnishing and the addition of new bedding, plasma TV’s, wet bars and enhanced in-room amenities.
