Old is new again: Harlequin and Deep Grid by Brintons

Spanish designer Cristian Zuzunaga of London-based studio Zuzunaga created Harlequin and Deep Grid, two new carpets for UK carpet manufacturer Brintons. The carpets are pixelated versions of an antique carpet designs taken from Brintons’ archive. While looking through Britons’ archive, Zuzunaga was inspired by the similarities between the historic carpets and his own contemporary designs. Using Brintons’ multicolor weaving technology and design and digital imagery, Zuzunaga enlarged and reworked two of the ancient designs into new pixellated luxury carpets.
