Onyx to open Amari property in Dhaka, Bangladesh

Thailand-based Onyx Hospitality Group was appointed to operate a 134-room property in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Amari Dhaka is owned by Karishma Services and will be managed by Onyx under the upscale Amari brand. Located in the business district of Gulshan, Amari Dhaka is scheduled to open in 2014.

Amari Dhaka will have 134 guestrooms and suites with room sizes of 355 square feet to 807 square feet; three restaurants and bars, including a destination rooftop bar; a function hall suitable for weddings; and meeting rooms. A Breeze Spa, gym and rooftop swimming pool will also be provided for guests and visitors.

Amari Dhaka is accessible for business travelers, as it is located 3 miles from Dhaka International Airport. Numerous multinational companies, office complexes, embassies and high-end residences are located near the property.
