Peekaboo effect: Laika ceiling lamps by Blu Dot

American design brand Blu Dot launched the Laika ceiling lamps. Made from white or natural colored rattan intertwined with a steel framework, Blu Dot’s Laika lamp is designed to create a relaxed atmosphere. It has a hand woven pattern that creates a “peekaboo” effect as the light shines through the textured shade.

Founded by John Christakos, Charles Lazor and Maurice Blanks in 1997, Blu Dot’s aesthetic stresses clean lines and quality craftsmanship, and the catalog includes seating, beds, desks, storage, dining and occasional tables, lighting, rugs and accessories.
