Pentagonal silhouette: Black Penta lamp by Jonathan Dorthe

Designer Jonathan Dorthe launched the Black Penta lamp, which has five bends forming the pentagonal silhouette that gives the piece its name. The material chosen by Dorthe to effect this manipulation is simple black matte acrylic. The lamp is also offered in laminated wood.

Jonathan Dorthe is an independent designer and craftsman with interest in re-producing traditional techniques. Working with new technologies and new materials, he creates lamps, coat racks, clocks and other decorative items and home accessories.
