Pier Sixty-Six Resort announces completed renovation

The Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six Resort Spa has come a long way since its original days as a waterfront motel catering to the upscale yachting crowd. Fifty years later, this Fort Lauderdale landmark is a stunning 22-acre vacation paradise fresh from a $30 million renovation. The recent redesign and refurbishment focused on the property's extensive meeting and event facilities, in addition to its guestrooms, lobby, indoor and outdoor common areas, and dining outlets.

Regarded as one of the premier meeting and event resorts in South Florida, Pier Sixty-Six's new enhancements are only building upon its notable status - and setting a new standard as a leading meetings destination. In total, the resort offers 25,000 square feet of flexible function space, including the newly refurbished 7,500 sq. ft. Crystal Ballroom, which accommodates up to 900 guests. Upgraded lighting systems, a contemporary colorful design, and crystal chandeliers add an air of sophistication to both the ballroom and adjoining, enhanced pre-function space, which features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the resort's tropical oasis area. In addition to the resort's larger event spaces - which also includes the 5,900 sq. ft. waterfront Panorama Ballroom, set amongst some of the city's most spectacular yachts - a variety of venues ideal for smaller functions have also been redesigned and now feature frosted glass-topped credenzas, custom artwork, and new lighting and sound systems. Outdoors, a lush redesigned lanai courtyard - anchored by a spectacular three-pool waterfall oasis with new private cabanas - is ideal for sunset cocktail parties and sunrise breakfasts, while two new outdoor decks accommodate up to 200 people each.

Completely redesigned and reopened in 2006, the 3,000 sq. ft. Pier Top, located on the top floor of the resort's 17-story tower, continues to impress as the area's foremost special occasion venue, available exclusively for private events.

Pier Sixty-Six enchants guests with its dazzling water views, stellar service, a wide variety of facilities and amenities - and now its impressive $30 million enhancement. Just 10 minutes from the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, the resort is home to Spa 66; a full-service 127-slip marina, and is convenient to boating, championship golf and exciting nightlife.
