Premier Inn to open first hotel in Phuket in 2017

Premier Inn will open the 350-room Premier Inn Phuket in early 2017. Developed in partnership with Rayaburi Group, it will be the second hotel in Thailand for Premier Inn after the 224-room Premier Inn Bangkok Soi 11, which opens in mid-2016.

Phuket is a key market for Premier Inn in Asia due to it being a known leisure and MICE destination in the region. In total, the brand is looking at opening a further five hotels for the area by 2020, adding around 1,250 rooms. Premier Inn also expects to further expand in Thai locations including Chiang Mai, Hua Hin, Koh Samui and Pattaya.

When Premier Inn Phuket opens, it will have accommodations, an all-day dining restaurant, destination bar, swimming pool, a fitness center and meeting facilities.
