Radisson Blu, Riyadh Diplomatic Quarter eyes 2015 opening

Rezidor, a member of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, announced the Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence, Riyadh Diplomatic Quarter. The property featuring 110 apartments and studios is scheduled to welcome the first guests in Q2 2015.

This development is undertaken by the Prince Salman Disability Research Centre and is under the patronage of HRH Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, the newly appointed Crowne Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The proposed hotel residence is one of several initiatives undertaken for charitable purposes. The proceeds of the hotel will support the Disabled Children Association of Saudi Arabia.

The Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence will offer an exclusive location, as the only hotel located within the Diplomatic Quarter of Riyadh. Besides 110 apartments and studios with Radisson Blu signature services such as free high speed Internet access, the property will comprise one all-day dining restaurant, one lobby lounge, a fitness center and 150 square meters of meeting space. The project is specifically designed to allow for short-term hotel stays as well as medium and long-term demand.

Born in early 2012, the portfolio of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group includes more than 1,300 hotels, a global footprint spanning 80 countries, and a set of global brands including Radisson Blu, Radisson, Country Inns & Suites By Carlson, Park Inn by Radisson, Hotel Missoni and Park Plaza.
