Radisson in Halifax unveils complete renovation

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group announced the completion of a $7 million renovation at the Radisson Suite Hotel Halifax (Nova Scotia, Canada). The downtown 120 all-suite hotel is located just a short walk from the historic waterfront.

"The renovation of this fantastic hotel is another step in our objective to have 75% of all Radisson hotels in North America completed renovations by year end," said Javier Rosenberg, chief operating officer, Radisson, Americas. "Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has 15 Radisson hotels in Canada and this renovation is part of our Ambition 2015 strategy to position Radisson in the Americas as a powerful, globally consistent, first-class brand."

"The hotel has undergone a complete renovation and we are very proud of our new look. The innovative design and stylish ambiance will enhance both the leisure and business travellers' experience," said Sukhdev Toor, president and chief executive officer of Manga Hotels. Manga Hotels, an Ontario based private company, acquired this property in 2011.

All 120-suites have been re-imagined to include new plush linens, separate living rooms with pull-out sofas, up to three flat screen televisions per suite and updated bathrooms. Additional amenities include complimentary high-speed Internet access, an updated fitness center, indoor pool, whirlpool and concierge services. The new ultra-modern lobby features a sophisticated lounge. The hotel offers two state-of-the-art meetings rooms, totalling 3,000 square feet of flexible meeting space for up to 250 guests.
