Raffles Istanbul eyes summer launch

Raffles Hotels and Resorts announced the scheduled opening this summer of Raffles Istanbul in Turkey. The hotel is located at the heart of the Zorlu Center, a new hub for fashion, food and the arts on the European shore in Beşiktaş, overlooking the Bosphorus, the Princess Islands and the peninsula.

Raffles Istanbul will be located in the Zorlu Center, Turkey’s first and only mixed-use project with five functions that will bring together a performing arts center, offices, residential property, retail and the hotel, all with a Bosphorus view. The hotel will have 181 rooms and suites, a ballroom with a 1,200 person capacity, two restaurants and bars, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a heliport. It will also be home to a signature Raffles Spa, which is set to be one of the largest spas in Istanbul.

The new hotel will be alike its sister, Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris, with the modern interiors at Raffles Istanbul going to be embellished with a collection of artwork, specially commissioned from local artists, a mix of paintings, sculpture, photography and video installations. These will all come together under the common influence of Turkish culture and heritage. As in the Paris property, Raffles Istanbul will have an art concierge.
