RD Olson, Gene Fong, Design Force design Los Angeles Airport Residence Inn

Residence Inn by Marriott opened the 231-suite Residence Inn Los Angeles LAX/Century Boulevard. Located at 5933 West Century Boulevard, the property is only three blocks from the entrance of LAX airport and operates as a Marriott franchise. It is owned by SVI LAX, LLC and managed by Interstate Hotels & Resorts of Arlington, Virginia.

This is the first new hotel to open in 23 years within the Los Angeles International Airport gateway area. The adaptive reuse project was a result of converting an existing 213,000 square-foot office building to an all-suite hotel.

The design team for the property included: RD Olson Construction’s Bill Wilhelm as contractor; Gene Fong Associations’ Gene Fong as architect; and Design Force Corporation’s Roxanne Francy as designer.
