ReardonSmith Architects designs Pik Palace Shahdag

Marriott International’s Autograph Collection announced its entry into Azerbaijan with the opening of Pik Palace Shahdag.

The 167-room Pik Palace Shahdag is located amid the mountains of the Shahdag Mountain Resort, near Gusar, one of the important gateways of Azerbaijan, and a historical interlink between Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Central Asia.

Designed by ReardonSmith Architects and inspired by the mountains, Pik Palace Shahdag offers recreational amenities, complete with panoramic views. Each of the property’s bedrooms and suites features a king-size bed and marble bathroom, with an oversized bathtub and walk-in shower. Additionally, each room offers floor-to-ceiling windows with a French balcony.

Pik Palace hotel’s restaurants, bars and lounges provide a variety of settings for an dining experience in the mountains, including the Chocolat patisserie and Alpina Brasserie & Wine Bar. Other amenities include The Club Fitness & Spa.

Pik Palace Shahdag is not the only property to recently join the Autograph Collection.

Park Chalet Shahdag brings to Autograph Collection the first Alpine-style luxury property in the Shahdag Mountain Resort. The 164-room hotel is located 142 miles north of Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan. Park Chalet is modeled on European Alpine architecture, with additional stylistic influences from Aspen ski lodge developments in the US. The hotel offers country-style guest rooms and suites, featuring washed oak paneling and the mix of rustic yet luxurious furnishings. For dining, Park Chalet offers Aspen Grill, a rooftop restaurant and lounge bar; and the Mocca Café. Other amenities include the steam rooms and sauna.

Two further hotels located in the capital of Baku will join the collection in June.

Boulevard Hotel Baku is named after the seafront walking promenade and set right at the Baku Bay towards the east of the city center.  Offering 818 rooms, the property is located in the heart of Baku White City district, along one of the main routes connecting the city centre with Heydar Aliyev International Airport.  This hotel will feature three restaurants, an executive lounge, and a 13,993-square-foot ballroom. The conference center will feature six multi-functional meeting rooms. Boulevard Hotel will also have a wellness center and gymnasium.

Meanwhile, Intourist Hotel Baku – which will also open in June – is located in the heart of Baku city and overlooking the waterfront boulevard, known as the National Park. This boutique hotel offers 150 guestrooms and suites.
