Renaissance Orlando at Seaworld completes $35M renovation

The Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld, a 781-room aquatic-themed resort with a prime location directly across from SeaWorld, has announced the culmination of its more than $35 million renovation project, which began in 2006.

The AAA Four Diamond Orlando resort’s most recent transformations include revitalization to its 23 second floor meeting rooms and 65 suites, an expansion to the pool area featuring a children’s interactive water playground, and an added 8,000-square-foot function lawn.

With 185,000-total square-feet of flexible function space throughout the property, Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld’s transformation of its second floor meeting space now boasts 23 breakout rooms, ranging from two Executive Boardrooms with executive seating for 12 people, to a 2,000-square-foot meeting room.

A new option for events is the Atlantis Kitchen, an interactive, open kitchen available for group functions, dinners, cooking classes, and demonstrations a. The space can accommodate groups of up to 50 guests inside the kitchen with an option to expand to 200 for reception events.

An 8,000-square-foot function lawn, located adjacent to the pool, has been added to the resort’s existing function lawn and terrace. The area provides outdoor event space for up to 1,000 in a private setting, or combined with the Pool Lawn and Terrace for functions of 2,000 in a tropical setting.

As an expansion to the pool area, Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld developed R Aqua Zone, an interactive water playground. A $3.5 million project built by Winter Park Construction, R Aqua Zone features a teen and tween play area with two water slides – one more than 120 feet long – periscope guns, a gyroscope spinner, shooting water jets, and a water windmill. A designated play area for toddlers includes a tot pool, a small slide, more than 20 mini water jets and a rain tree.

The resort’s 65 guest suites also underwent a complete renovation to now feature six different suite types, ranging from the Presidential Suite complete with a wet bar, garden tub and large balcony, to the Corner King Suites, rooms that offer the option to connect to a King room.

Located at 6677 Sea Harbor Drive, Orlando, Florida 32821 , the resort also recently became an official hotel partner of SeaWorld.
