The Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland, completes renovation

CLEVELAND—The Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland recently completed a major renovation of the 206-room hotel located in the heart of the city’s downtown. From the spacious guestrooms and suites to the exclusive Club lounge with expansive views of the city’s skyline, the award-winning hotel has received a complete makeover. In keeping with The Ritz-Carlton tradition of giving back to the community, Joseph Mattioli, general manager, arranged donation of more than 500 pieces of furniture—from bedding to lamps—to Providence House and New Avenues to Independence. Both local organizations assist those with special needs.

“I am very pleased the renovation has been completed and the final product at The Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland has retained its signature beauty while adding so many upgraded features including flat panel televisions, iPod docking stations, gourmet coffee makers, and new color schemes ranging from amber, caramel and sunlight gold, to shades of Persian teal, and merlot red,” said Mattioli.

In a nod to the culture of Cleveland, decorative accents in guestrooms and corridors reflect its fame as home to the nearby Rock and Roll Hall of Fame + Museum. Music fans will appreciate the replicas of guitars played by Hall of Fame inductees now hanging on the walls of the Club lounge. Other special touches reflect The Cleveland Orchestra and Severance Hall.

To accommodate guests requiring large connecting suites, The Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland has added a limited number of two-bedroom executive suites featuring a master bedroom with parlor sitting area and connecting bedroom. “We often have families in town looking forward to exploring the Rock Hall, taking in a game or visiting the city’s museums.  These new suites offer them the relaxation and convenience they seek while enjoying all Cleveland has to offer,” said Mattioli.

The Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland is the recipient of many awards of distinction, including the AAA Four-Diamond Award and the Mobil Travel Guide Four-Star Award.  Recently, the hotel was also the recipient of the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Award.  For more information on The Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland, please visit
