Rosewood Siem Reap to open in Cambodia in 2019

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts was appointed by Cambodia-based property developer Vattanac Properties to manage Rosewood Siem Reap, scheduled to open in 2019. It will be the second Rosewood property in Cambodia, following Rosewood Phnom Penh that will open in 2016, also owned by Vattanac Properties. It will also mark Rosewood's ninth hotel management agreement in Asia.

The property will be situated in the heart of Siem Reap, within six kilometers of the Angkor Wat temple complex and UNESCO World Heritage site, with the Royal Gardens, National Museum, Floating Village, Phsar Chas market and other cultural attractions close by.

The property will have Modern Khmer architecture and use indigenous materials. There will be 135 guestrooms with a minimum size of 60 square meters (645 square feet), all with balconies. There will also be 15 standalone villas. All villas will have individual pools and landscaped terraces. The largest three-bedroom villas will have 280-square-meter (3,014-square-foot) interiors. There will also be a freestanding Manor Club villa, a private space with reception and lounge offered exclusively to villa guests.

Rosewood Siem Reap will have five restaurants and bars with outdoor terraces, including a bistro, poolside bar and restaurant, destination bar, library lounge and a specialty restaurant.

For events, there will be a 700-square-meter (7,534-square-foot) residential-style Pavilion meeting and event space, as well as outdoor function areas.

Facilities and recreation will include Rosewood's Sense spa, a fitness center, outdoor lap pool, children's pool and play area.

Rosewood Siem Reap will join sister property Rosewood Phnom Penh, opening in 2016. The landmark 175-room Rosewood Phnom Penh will occupy the top 14 floors of the 39-story Vattanac Capital Tower One, the tallest building in the capital, situated in the Central Business District.

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts manages 18 properties in 11 countries, with 14 new hotels under development. The Rosewood collection includes The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel in New York, Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas and Hotel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel in Paris, and Rosewood Beijing. Rosewood Hotels & Resorts targets 50 hotels in operation by 2020.
