Rosewood to operate Vancouver's Hotel Georgia

When the Hotel Georgia in Vancouver reemerges from a full restoration in early 2011, it will rebranded as Rosewood Hotel Georgia and feature new management by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.

The revamped property will offer 154 guest rooms, including larger suites and a separate 48-storey residential tower to be completed in 2012.

The hotel will also feature Sense, A Rosewood Spa, a fitness center, an indoor swimming pool, a nightclub and Hawksworth Restaurant, which will serve a unique Vancouver-Asian twist.

This restoration is good news for Rosewood, which has been the subject of a report stating that The Mansion on Peachtree, which it oprates, faces imminent foreclosure.

Hotel Georgia first opened in 1927 and has been known as one of Vancouver's most historic hotels with past guests including Elvis and Nat "King" Cole.
