Rottet Studio, Meyer Davis Studio, Jonathan Nehmer + Associates redesign Loews Regency Hotel

Loews Regency Hotel, a hotel in Midtown Manhattan, and located near Central Park, Madison Avenue and Museum Mile, completed a year long $100-million transformation.  The redesign of the 379-room hotel represents the vision of Jonathan Tisch, chairman of Loews Hotels & Resorts.

The hotel features 328 apartment-styled guestrooms and 58 suites, four private meeting spaces, and The Regency Bar & Grill.  The new Julien Farel Restore Salon & Spa flagship will complete the guest experience when it opens in March 2014.  The enhancements will evoke the spirit and traditions of the hotel’s past while offering guests contemporary amenities.

Rottet Studio, Meyer Davis Studio and Jonathan Nehmer + Associates were selected by Jonathan Tisch for the redesign of the hotel.  Blending modern design with clean and classic style, the 24-foot-high ceiling provides a grand entrance to the lobby.  A bar just off the lobby and in the forefront of The Regency Bar & Grill is now available, while new seating and décor are highlighted in the Lobby Lounge. The lobby designed by Rottet Studio offers a grand marble entrance with bespoke finishes and a neutral palette. The Lobby Lounge area with velvet sofas, complete with power and hardline Internet outlets, sits under an art installation by Brooklyn-based artist Nina Helms called Brise de printemps (spring breeze).

Loews Regency’s guestrooms were also designed by Rottet Studio. Guestrooms have Frette linens and bathrobes, smart televisions and complimentary Internet access.  Additionally, Loews Regency will debut six signature suites in spring 2014.  Ranging in size from 700 square feet to 1,550 square feet, the suites will each feature their own design concept and views over Park Avenue and 61st Street.

The Regency Bar & Grill is a new restaurant and dining concept managed by New York restaurateurs Gherardo Guarducci and Dimitri Pauli of the Sant Ambroeus Hospitality Group, and helmed by executive chef Dan Silverman.  Designed by Meyer Davis Studio, the restaurant encompasses a 135-seat dining room and a 32-seat full-service bar and lounge.

Sant Ambroeus at The Regency is a Milanese style coffee bar.  With a separate entrance on 61st Street, the venue has a stand-alone, take-out concept.

In March 2014, Julien Farel is bringing “Power Beauty” to Loews Regency Hotel.  This new beauty destination and fitness center features 10,000-square-feet complete with 32 custom-designed hair stations, eight spa treatment rooms and private suites for VIP clients.

On the ground floor, Julien Farel will launch JF Men, which will cater to men’s grooming needs, complete with two private multi-service rooms.

The 1,700-square-foot fitness center will feature cardiovascular and strengthening equipment, and various spin bikes and elliptical machines.  The fitness center will be available 24 hours.
