SALA Hospitality Group expands into Ayutthaya, Thailand with sala ayutthaya

SALA Hospitality Group opened its seventh property, sala ayutthaya.

sala ayutthaya is located in the heart of historical Ayutthaya, along the north shore of the Chao Phraya River directly opposite the Phutthaisawan Temple (Wat Phutthaisawan). The property is the fourth sala boutique branded property for the group, along with sala khaoyai, sala lanna Chiang Mai and sala Rattanakosin Bangkok. The group also owns and manages the SALA Samui and SALA Phuket in its SALA Resort and Spa brand.

This latest SALA development consists of 26 rooms and suites, many with views of the Chao Phraya River, Wat Phutthaisawan, and the surrounding area. There is a two-level duplex riverfront suite, and a pool suite with its own private in-room swimming pool.

The riverside restaurant and bar offers indoor air-conditioned dining, as well as scenic outdoor dining along the riverfront. There is a guest swimming pool in the ground floor courtyard, and a boutique spa overlooking the same courtyard.

Ayutthaya is a former Siamese Kingdom, containing many historical and cultural temples and attractions, including the Ayutthaya Historical Park, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981.

SALA Hospitality Group is a homegrown Thai hospitality company that owns and operates seven luxury properties under the brands SALA Resorts & Spas and sala boutique. The group plans to further expand domestically and internationally. SALA Hospitality Group is also the majority shareholder of the Six Senses Resort on Koh Samui.

SALA Samui, the company’s first resort, opened in 2004 and has a total of 69 villas and suites of which 53 have private swimming pools. SALA Phuket opened in 2007 and has 79 villas and suites, 63 with their own private pools. sala khaoyai opened in November 2009 and with only seven accommodations; it was the first of the “sala boutique” brand for the group. sala lanna Chiang Mai opened in April 2013 with 16 guestrooms, suites and a two-bedroom pool villa suite situated on the banks of the peaceful Ping River. Meanwhile, sala rattanakosin Bangkok also opened in April 2013 with 17 guest rooms and suites, many with Wat Po or Wat Arun views.

Currently under development is SALA Chaweng Resort and Spa which will open late 2016.
