
Shangri-La Asia Limited has announced the development of a new hotel in Yingkou, a coastal city located in the north-western portion of the Liaodong Peninsula in Liaoning Province, China. The new hotel will open in 2015 and join the group's portfolio of north-eastern China properties in Changchun, Dalian, Harbin and Shenyang, bringing the total number of hotels in the region to eight.
The 400-room Shangri-La Hotel, Yingkou is designed as an urban resort in Bayuquan. Starting from 484 square feet, each guestroom will feature a balcony where guests can enjoy views of Liaodong Bay. Culinary outlets will include a Chinese, specialty and an all-day dining restaurant, as well as the Lobby Lounge. Meeting space will feature a 16,145-square-foot grand ballroom and a 10,763-square-foot multifunction space.
Recreational facilities will include a health club with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a spa and a hot-spring village. A 15,069-square-foot family entertainment center and children's adventure zone will also be available.
