Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts opens new hotel in Hefei, China

Hong Kong-based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts opened its latest hotel in China in Hefei, a city founded as a county seat in the Qin Dynasty between China's largest river, the Yangtze River, and the freshwater Chaohu Lake. Built to complement the structures that form the skyline of Hefei, the 27-story Shangri-La Hotel, Hefei is located on Suixi Road.

Welcoming guests are 401 guestrooms that offer views of the urban landscape, and range in size from 484 square feet to 1,453 square feet. Full-length windows and landscape features (such as mountains, flowers and rivers) typically found in Chinese paintings are fused in the room interior through soft beige tones. The rooms also have a large desk space, as well as the bathroom.

Situated on the highest floors of Shangri-La Hotel, Hefei are its Executive and Speciality Suites that are fitted with living and sleeping spaces, and large windows overlooking the city. Marble-clad bathrooms include a separate bath, walk-in shower, and television.
