Smooth contours: Layer chair by Mitab

Swedish brand Mitab launched German designer Oliver Schick’s new Layer chair, inspired by a tower of stacked chairs. Designed for the office or classroom environment, Layer is a lightweight stacking chair with legs that are fixed between the chair’s double layer shell, creating a seamless transition between the seat and legs. The chair’s CNC-milled frame boasts smooth contours and features a built-in, circular grip on the rear of the backrest to make lifting and moving the chair even easier.

Mitab has been at the forefront of Swedish furniture design for decades. The company develops, manufactures, and sells furniture for the contract market. Based in Tranås, Mitab is a family-owned company led by the second generation of the Torstensson family.
