Sofitel Kunming debuts in Yunnan Province

Sofitel, a brand of AccorHotels, opened Sofitel Kunming, the latest addition to its portfolio in Greater China. The 400-room hotel, the only international luxury hotel in Kunming city center, is located in the Central Business District of Kunming.

The hotel, located from 27th to 52nd floor, has 400 guestrooms including 42 suites. All rooms have the Sofitel MyBed, wireless audio system, large-screen TV and Wi-Fi access. The rooms has design elements inspired by the peacock, which symbolizes Yunnan’s Dai minority, and handcrafted leather wall coverings that conjure a Parisian apartment in the center of Kunming.

The hotel has three restaurants and two bars, including: Le Chinois Chinese Restaurant, Kwee Zeen, Lan Pan Asian Restaurant, a Japanese robata grill and soba noodle kitchen, Voyage Bar on the 50th floor and the Lobby Bar.

For events, the property has a grand ballroom that can accommodate up to 800 guests, and eight meeting rooms. There is an outdoor garden and rooftop venue on the 52nd floor.

Other amenities include the So SPA, So FIT gym studio and an indoor heated pool that sits right beneath a glass ceiling panel.
