STA Architecture, Anastassiadis Architects design Rio Hilton

Hilton Worldwide opened the 298-room Hilton Barra Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. The property is located on Avenida Abelardo Bueno in the heart of the Barra da Tijuca neighborhood.

Architectural firm STA Architecture was involved in the development of the property with interior designer Anastassiadis Architects.

Developed by Carvalho Hosken S/A, the nine-story Hilton Barra Rio de Janeiro blends contemporary architecture and design with the style and feel of the local Brazilian culture. The property also has sustainable features that contribute to the reduction of energy and water consumption.

When entering the property, guests will be welcomed by 121-foot-high lobby. Local artists contributed to works in the lobby soace, and which connects with an outdoor garden.

The Hilton Barra Rio de Janeiro has 298 guestrooms, including executive floor rooms and suites all outfitted with smart LED TVs, radio clock with Bluetooth technology, wireless Internet access, Nespresso coffee makers with complimentary capsules and Malin+Goetz amenities. Rooms are also equipped with sensors providing an automated system. 

Guests staying in an executive room or suite enjoy the added benefit of the hotel's executive floor service and executive lounge, offering views of the Barra lagoons. 

For events, Hilton hotel in Rio de Janeiro provides approximately 14,000 square feet of meeting space, including 10 meeting rooms and two ballrooms, with total capacity for up to 950 guests. All rooms feature audiovisual equipment, soundproof walls and wireless Internet access.

For dining, Hilton Barra Rio de Janeiro offers a signature restaurant for 140 guests, where the interior connects with the outdoor environment. The hotel's rooftop is home to a Champagne House, welcoming guests to indulge in poolside beverages. An outdoor rooftop swimming pool and fitness center with cardio and strength training equipment complete the facilities.
