Staten Island's Hilton Garden Inn completes renovation

Staten Island's Hilton Garden Inn has recently completed $2.5 million worth of renovations.  The hotel, which is home to Nicotra's Ballroom and Lorenzo's Restaurant, Bar & Cabaret, now features an updated look, while holding on to the values and service that have made it so popular.

The renovations include the $100,000 Fountain Plaza valet circle, imported Belgian floor coverings, and draperies provided by the company responsible for the sets from Broadway's Wicked and other productions.

The Hilton Garden Inn's 150 guest rooms have all received flat screen plasma televisions, and new draperies, furniture, bedding and carpets have been installed in every room. Future renovations will include new wall coverings and carpeting in the hallways and entranceways

Nicotra's Ballroom, the premiere special event venue on Staten Island, offers a 30,000 square ft. banquet hall. The space, which also received a makeover, includes the silk-tented, heated Trevi Garden and the glass enclosed Japanese Tea House featuring indoor water elements and an outdoor Koi Pond and pagoda. Executive Chef Sonny Soemarsono, formerly of the St. Regis Hotel and the Rainbow Room, continues to run the ballroom kitchen.

The Hilton is also the ideal location for brides looking for everything in one place. Owner Richard Nicotra said, "We are intent on offering our brides the upscale service, style and setting of a Manhattan venue with a weekend's worth of amenities and entertainment onsite for all of our guests." With events offered Friday night through Sunday morning, there are plenty of options for any wedding party. Close to both Newark Airport and Manhattan, it's easily accessible for out of town guests.

Lorenzo's Restaurant, Bar & Cabaret, and its Lobby Lounge, continues to entice world-renowned stars to Staten Island. Recently Lucie Arnaz, Danny Aiello and Chazz Palminteri, all made stops at Lorenzo's and the adjacent Lobby Lounge is the perfect spot for private parties or dancing on Friday and Saturday nights.

Surrounded by 415 acres of protected woodlands, The Hilton Garden Inn Staten Island is the perfect get away, right in your own backyard.  For more information on The Hilton Garden Inn Staten Island and Nicotra's Ballroom, please visit
