Streamlined structure: Apparatus Studio’s new collections

New York-based design studio Apparatus introduced two new lighting series called “Cylinder” and “Link Porcelain,” as well as a table called “Portal.”

The Cylinder series is a system of fixtures. Directional light emanates from recessed points within the metal forms. The streamlined structure and scale allow these pieces to stand alone or be grouped together, serving as primary or secondary light sources.

Created in collaboration with ceramicist Alice Goldsmith, the Link Porcelain pendant has fractured links suspended over oversized brass shades. The links are anchored and protected by the oppositional metal.
