Aqua Hospitality's Waikiki Joy Hotel is nearing the completion of its $2.5 million renovation. The property will emerge with a brand new name: Aqua Oasis.
Expected to be completed this April, Aqua Oasis will have redesigned guestrooms, common areas and exterior landscaping. The renovated hotel will offer an "urban loft meets Hawaii" design inspired by the property's suites and loft-like apartments, which favor groups and families.
In the guestrooms, San Francisco designer Anthony Laurino combined playful design elements, such as patterns and bright color accents, with a backdrop of neutral colors and natural finishes reflective of the hotel's city-based, island location.
The lobby space will be transformed into a social hub for guests, complete with a communal feel. Summa International is overseeing the renovations.
Aqua Oasis is located in the heart of Waikiki at 320 Lewers St. The 91-room property is within walking distance to the area's beaches, shops, dining and nightlife.
