Swissôtel to open in Chengdu, China

Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts is slated to add a new hotel to its Chinese portfolio with Swissôtel Chengdu in the Sichuan province. It will be the fifth hotel in China for the hotel chain of Swiss origin, and its first hotel in the west of the People’s Republic.

Swissôtel Chengdu will offer 380 rooms, each around 452 square feet in size; four restaurants and bars; and 10 conference rooms covering some 1,500 square. A Pürovel Spa & Sport, extending over 1,000 square meters, will also be available.

The hotel is due to open at the end of 2014.

The forthcoming hotel is located in the south of Chengdu in Tianfu New Town, an urban development project that covers an area of 205 square kilometers.
