Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces has announced the completion of a grand renovation that updated Taj Palace New Delhi’s 402 rooms and suites, the exclusive Taj Club Lounge, and 40,000-square feet of banquet and conference space.
The jewel in the crown of this restoration is the Tata Suite. Named for Taj Hotels’ founder, this 7,500-square-foot retreat is said to be “well-equipped to accommodate world leaders, corporate scions and celebrities alike.” The new Tata Suite at Taj Palace New Delhi includes a living room, dining room, private study, 16-seat board room, bedrooms with en suite baths, a private gym, and Jiva spa room. The spaces make use of Santos Rosewood and Zebrawood, and have custom furnishings atop Hadji Jalili revival carpets, Murano glass chandeliers, artworks by M. F Husein and Anjolie Ela Menon, and a vintage Rachels piano.
The master bedroom alone features a bed with custom over-sized tufted leather headboard and a bath in inlaid marble, with a glass-walled wet room that is home to an infinity soaking tub for two with chromatherapy options and a tropical rain shower.
The property’s amenities include 24-hour services of a butler, a personal chef, and a chauffeur.
