Third DoubleTree by Hilton property opens in India

Hilton Worldwide opened the newly-renovated, upscale, full-service DoubleTree by Hilton Goa-Arpora-Baga, the third DoubleTree by Hilton property in India.

The 105-room hotel, located a few miles from the Baga and Anjuna beaches, was formerly known as Riviera De Goa. It now marks its new affiliation with a range of refurbishments that include refreshed guestrooms and public spaces, landscaping, a new business center, up-to-date technology and an enhanced dining experience that encompasses the new restaurant Flame, which offers Goan, Indian, Chinese and Italian delicacies.

With the opening of this hotel, Hilton Worldwide now operates 10 hotels in India. In 2011, the company opened six hotels, and it is anticipating increasing its presence to 14 hotels by the end of this year. It is on its way to achieving its target of increasing its network to 25 hotels in the country by 2016. The company has two hotels in Delhi NCR, at Gurgaon and Mayur Vihar, and will open an all-suite, extended-stay hotel in Bangalore in the last quarter of the year.

Owned by Riviera De Goa Resorts and Hotels Private Limited and managed by Hilton Worldwide, DoubleTree by Hilton Goa-Arpora-Baga features guestrooms, most with a private balcony or patio, and a lagoon or pool view. All guestrooms are equipped with wired and wireless Internet access, HD LCD satellite TV, an electronic safe, refrigerated private bar, in-room tea and coffee making facilities, radio alarm clock with MP3 player connection, iron and ironing board and a refreshing collection of Crabtree & Evelyn citron bath and body products. Additional amenities include 24-hour in-room dining, laundry and concierge services.

In addition to Flame, dining options at the hotel include Caffeine, an all-day café; and CoBar, the poolside bar and restaurant.

The hotel features 3,000 square feet of flexible conference and banqueting facilities that can accommodate up to 200 people. DoubleTree by Hilton Goa-Arpora-Baga also offers a fitness center and an outdoor swimming pool.
