Trinhvieta-Architects designs Hotel Golden Holiday

Trinhvieta-Architects showcased Hotel Golden Holiday in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam.  Situated in the West Street of the city, three minutes away to the city beach, the property has 50 rooms, decorated and furnished with custom-designed furniture, offering guests with garden view, city and mountain view or sea view.

The architects in charge for the project were Trinh Viet A, Naoya Sakamaki and Le Hoai Phuong. MEP design was by Tran Cuong; structural design was by Trung Son JSC; while lighting conceptual design was by Nguyen Nhi Hoai Anh. The construction supervisor was Ta Xuan Loc.

According to the architects, the hotel was designed to be a model of tropical city hotel. Natural sunlight and ventilation were taken in the design by introducing a 12-story-high void in the middle of the hotel. This void ensures the natural lighting and ventilation condition of the internal spaces is in order to minimize the use of artificial lighting and air-conditioning, thereby contributing to reducing energy consumption.

The botanical facade was designed to take advantage of the Vietnamese tropical weather. These trees also vertically connect the upper and lower floors to create the continuity of the facade. The trees also contribute to the greenery of the area.

As for internal spaces, around the center void is another vertical botanic garden separating the common corridor with the center void to promote the privacy of the guest room areas. The void therefore becomes a space between the guestrooms and the common areas.

A T-shaped pool is located on the top floor. Trees were also planted in this space.

Materials used were locally sourced and low cost. Natural stone and wood were harvested from the mountain in the area. Hollow concrete blocks were handmade.
