Urvanx oversees Hilton Miami Downtown renovation

Hilton Miami Downtown in Miami, Fla., completed the $1.7-million renovation of the property’s redesigned conference level and function space.

Designed by Miami's South Beach-based design and architectural firm Urvanx, Hilton Miami Downtown is now home to an urban vibe, while black and white marble cuts lead the guests towards the pre-function area.

The overall design of the ballrooms was influenced by Miami's sunshine reflecting in the ocean water and the diversity of the city's cultural emotions and contributions. All the spaces were transformed with custom designed carpet and gray oakwood portals that frame the entrances to each of the ballroom spaces and meeting rooms. Electronic displaysare available for hostesses and guests. In the pre-function area, metallic bronze color drapes and columns clad in rectangular gray oakwood panels support the space.

The custom carpet design was inspired by the ocean (pre-function area), the city (Symphony ballroom) and the cultural links (meeting rooms).
