Utilitarian offerings: Straw side tables by David Derksen

Dutch designer David Derksen collaborated with British designer Phil Procter to create a series of utilitarian biodegradable side tables. Made from a biodegradable board material that consists of pressed straw, the Straw side tables are available in two sizes, and are finished with a natural, colored wax that lends the straw a decorative quality while accents of grey or black painted around the perimeter of the circular top and along the corners of the triangular base provide definition.
