Valley Inn renovation to be completed in Sioux Falls, S.D.

A $500,000 renovation will wrap up next week at the Valley Inn hotel at 18th Street and Grange Avenue in central Sioux Falls, S.D. The 63 guest rooms in the two-building hotel have been updated with new carpeting, draperies, lighting and furnishings, including beds, TVs and refrigerators.

Renovation began in September. It was driven, in part, by a desire to keep up with continuing changes and additions on the Sanford campus. An estimated 75 percent of the guests stay there for hospital-related reasons, hotel officials said. The hotel also caters to visiting sports teams and is reaching out to other prospective guests, General Manager Scott Paine said.
