Varying hues of green: Microcosm by Nodus

Introducing the Microcosm rug by French designer Matali Crasset for Italian rug brand Nodus. The rug, a collage made up of varying hues of green, resembles an aerial view of green fields. The Microcosm rug is hand-knotted from 100 percent wool in Nepal. A black grid forms a patchwork of squares that have been woven in varying hues of green. Eschewing the standard straight or tasseled edges found on traditional rug designs, the black lines of the grid extend outwards from the rug creating an abstract silhouette.

Italian rug brand Nodus is a sub brand of Il Piccolo Srl, an Italian custom made furnishing brand. Working with craftsmen in Nepal, Portugal, Pakistan, India, Morocco, Turkmenistan, China and Turkey, Nodus matches the characteristics of each individual design to the specialism of each region.
