WATG announced the opening of St. Mary Residences, located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. International destination design firm WATG was the architect for the four-acre luxury project developed by luxury lifestyle developer Eastern & Oriental Berhad in partnership with The Lion Group.
The cubist geometry of the buildings is accentuated with natural stone and patterned with metal screens. WATG worked in association with GDP Architects, project architects; and Seksan Design, landscape architects.
In addition to 457 luxury apartment residences, St. Mary includes E&O Residences Kuala Lumpur, E&O’s first serviced apartment development in the city; as well as St. Mary Place, a retail center featuring retail, dining and lifestyle offerings.
Eastern & Oriental Berhad’s past signature projects include the Dua Residency Condominium in the KL city center and Idamansara and Seventy Damansara exclusive landed homes in upscale Damansara Heights. On Penang Island, E&O masterplanned the seafront development Seri Tanjung Pinang. In Johor, E&O has embarked on a new joint-venture project with the wholly-owned subsidiaries of Khazanah Nasional Berhad and Temasek Holdings (Private) Limited to develop the 210-acre Medini Integrated Wellness Capital in Iskandar Malaysia.
WATG and Wimberly Interiors specialize in hospitality and experiential design from their offices in London, Singapore, Honolulu, Irvine, Los Angeles and New York.
