Three WATG-renovated projects were recently honored in the Building Industry Association (BIA) Hawaii's Renaissance Building & Remodeling Awards 2011.

The JW Marriott Ihilani guestroom renovation was the Grand Award winner in "Commercial Remodeling – Projects from 7,501-15,000 square feet" category. The guestroom renovation was a joint effort between WATG’s Honolulu and Irvine, CA-based interiors studios, in which the designers upgraded the property and created a sophisticated and organic Hawaiian sense of place in the guestrooms.

In celebration of the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa’s 20th anniversary, WATG gave the property a new and revitalized look that was created by bringing the richness of Kauai indoors. The interior renovation received the Merit Award for "Commercial Remodeling – Projects over 15,001 square feet."

The Orchid Suite at Halekulani won the Merit Award for "Commercial Remodeling – Projects under 5,000 square feet."  WATG’s interior design team in Honolulu transformed three of the hotel's existing beachfront suites into a signature Premier Suite to embody the hotel’s lifestyle values.  The suite features panoramic views of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach with floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to private lawns just outside the open-air trellised lounge. Premium marble slabs; mother of pearl accents; custom lighting fixtures, artwork and other accessories were used to outfit the luxury suite accommodations. The Orchid Suite, in particular, has been covered by travel publications such as HI Luxury and was also featured in Elite Traveler's "Top Suites of Hawaii" list.

WATG specializes in hospitality and leisure design from its offices in Honolulu; Irvine, CA; Orlando; Seattle; Singapore; and London.
