
Hilton Worldwide and Syncept Investment Group Co., Ltd. announced the development of the first Embassy by Hilton in the Asia Pacific. The hotel will be located on the resort island of Hainan in the city of Bo'ao, China.
WATG Singapore was selected as the lead architect for this flagship property.
The signing event was hosted by Zhang Weike, chairman of Syncept Investment Group Co., Ltd., and guests included Hilton's Bruce McKenzie, senior vice president, operations – Greater China and Mongolia. Also in attendance was Dave Moore, senior vice president and chairman of the board of directors at WATG.
WATG was established 70 years ago. WATG and affiliated design studio Wimberly Interiors have offices in Irvine, Los Angeles, New York, London, Istanbul, Dubai, Singapore, and Honolulu. WATG offers a range of design services, including strategy, planning, architecture, urban design, landscape, and interior design for urban, mixed-use, tourism, entertainment and resort destinations.
