Wegman Design Group completes NCH remodel

Wegman Design Group remodeled the main lobby, gift shop and café of the NCH Healthcare System. The new space now has updated architectural and design features.

According to Lori Wegman, principal of Wegman Design Group, the main lobby of NCH had not been updated in a major way since it was originally built. "We incorporated lighter, more neutral colors along with opening up the ceiling and improving traffic flow," Wegman said. "The overall result is bright, inviting and open.”

In addition to aesthetics, Wegman Design Group added an entry vestibule for easier access to the concierge and information desk. This also provides better climate control. According to Wegman, the end result intended by the redesign is for the visitors to discover a friendlier, more accessible NCH experience that is commensurate with the hospital’s commitment to serving our community.

Earlier, Wegman Design Group also designed NCH’s Connie Eaton Women’s Center, Orthopaedic Center of Excellence, cardiac/telemetry unit, The Birth Place and Shick Heart Center.
