Westin Atlanta Perimeter North, Ga., completes renovation

Marcus Hotels & Resorts, a division of The Marcus Corporation, completed a multi-million dollar renovation of the Westin Atlanta Perimeter North in Atlanta, Ga.

The Westin Atlanta Perimeter North, located within the Concourse Corporate Center, underwent a transformation of all 372 guestrooms; expanded its 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space to include two additional boardrooms and a Westin Executive Club Lounge; and introduced a new full-service restaurant, Savor bar & kitchen, with executive chef Robert Chaffin and restaurant chef John Bjorge at the helm.

Organic elements from Georgia can be found throughout the hotel's design, beginning in the lobby. As guests check-in at the front desk, glowing light seeps through panels to form an illuminated Live Oak, a modern perspective on the Georgia state tree. A custom-made, signature iron sculpture, created by local artist Andrew T. Crawford, serves as the focal point. Tall floor-to-ceiling windows showcase the hotel's views of Concourse Center's private lake, adding to the hotel's atmosphere. Two communal tables are also available.

All 372 guestrooms and suites were completely transformed with new design elements and décor, and now have the Westin Heavenly Bed. Guests can also enjoy Westin's Heavenly Bath, Heavenly Shower, Heavenly Robe and White Tea Aloe bath amenities.

The hotel's 20,000 square-feet meeting and event space was revamped to include two new boardrooms and a Westin Executive Club Lounge. Custom-designed carpet inspired by Georgia's state flower, the Cherokee Rose, covers the ballrooms, meeting spaces and pre-function areas. Glass chandeliers accentuate the revitalized event space while adding an elegant, sophisticated element.

As part of the transformation, the Westin Atlanta Perimeter North unveiled Savor bar & kitchen, a farm-to-table eatery offering regionally-influenced dishes that utilize products from local vendors and farms. Overlooking the lake at Concourse Center, Savor bar & kitchen has an oval bar that functions as a Proudly Brewed by Starbucks during the day and transforms to a lounge at night. The restaurant's décor includes floor-to-ceiling windows, hand-blown crystal fixtures that hang from the ceiling and fresh textures and patterns. Lakeside al fresco dining is available.

Additional facilities include WestinWOROUT fitness studio, outdoor pool and complimentary in-lobby Business Center.
