Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa unveils first phase of renovations

The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa unveiled its main resort pool and new deck, which completes the first phase of its $30-million renovation.

The main resort pool was entirely resurfaced with Satin Matrix premium pebble finish, new coping and tile. Over 45,000 square feet of EverNew, CertainTeed decking was laid, which is an ultra-low maintenance PVC product with a fade resistance surface that maintains a cooler surface under foot.

The redevelopment, done by Southwest Value Partners, was completed within four months of purchase by the new owners.

The $30-million redesign of the resort will continue throughout 2012/2013, off-season with guestrooms, lobby, restaurants and meeting space.

Located within Port Royal Plantation, The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa is an AAA Four Diamond Award-winning resort overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with 412 guestrooms and suites. The resort offers a variety of dining options, outdoor swimming pools, a nine-treatment room Heavenly Spa by Westin with full service salon, WestinWORKOUT, a health club, running and walking trails, beach and water sports.

The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa also offers over 30,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space that consist of 15 meeting rooms, including a 13,200 square-foot grand ballroom, an oceanfront pavilion and two executive boardrooms.
