Westin unveils new restaurant concept

Westin Hotels & Resort's newest restaurant concept, Grill & Vine, opened at The Westin San Francisco Airport. The Starwood North America food and beverage team, in collaboration with the Westin brand team and the leadership team at the Westin San Francisco Airport, launched the new restaurant and bar concept of Grill & Vine, the first of what is planned to be a multi-unit restaurant concept to roll out across North America and other key markets globally at Westin Hotels & Resorts.

Grill & Vine’s menu, developed in collaboration with the Starwood culinary corporate team with input from executive chef Werner Fankhauser, will offer traditional favorites with a modern twist.

The restaurant’s Enomatic Wine System, a wine preservation and serving system that displaces the air in open bottles of wine and preserves it for up to 30 days, allows the restaurant to serve up to a dozen wines at the right temperature by the glass that would otherwise need to be sold by the bottle. In addition to the Enomatic Wines, Grill & Vine offers a list of local and international wines by the bottle.

Other key design features of Grill & Vine will include communal tables as centerpieces. A menu board hanging above the kitchen will showcase the daily specials or Chef’s favorite dishes. Lighting and natural colors and finishes set the tone for the atmosphere. Furniture will be in shades of greens, greys and purples and a combination of light and dark woods. The overall aesthetic is meant to bring a taste of wine country to The Westin San Francisco Airport.
