Westin Washington, D.C. City Center completes $17M transformation

Westin Washington, D.C. City Center completed its $17-million enhancement of the 406-room property. Located in downtown Washington, D.C., just blocks from the White House and the K Street corridor, the hotel made upgrades to its guestrooms, restaurant, lobby and meeting facilities.

Each guestroom and suite at the hotel now features newly-remodeled bathrooms, fresh guestroom soft goods, 50-inch LED TVs, refrigerators and safes. All rooms now also have the Westin Heavenly Bed. Also available is the Heavenly Bath, enhanced with the brand's Heavenly Shower, Heavenly Robe, and White Tea Aloe bath amenities. All guest rooms feature wireless Internet access. The hotel also now offers the Westin brand's signature SuperFoodsRX menu.

The Westin Washington, D.C. City Center also introduced Fringetree, the on-site restaurant and lounge. Located off the lobby, Fringetree fuses the contemporary feel of a sophisticated urban eatery with options for the health-conscious guest.

The new lobby concept incorporates vertical gardens, flexible, and functional seating. The vertical garden is a focal element of the new Westin lobby concept designed to improve indoor air quality and create a more natural environment. There are now also new Westin check-in pods, freestanding structures that replace the traditional hotel check-in desk and are ergonomically designed with work surfaces at optimum heights and a more spacious, personal guest interaction area.

Additional new facilities include an expanded 24-hour WestinWORKOUT that provides a fitness studio featuring Life Fitness equipment. The property also offers Gear Lending with New Balance.
